What Is The Meaning (To You) of The Song “Over My Head by The Fray”?

It is about a guy that didn’t realize that has a lot going on until he was over his head and can’t handle it well.  Nothing is going right and all of his friends left once everything started to take a turn for the worse. All he needed from them was to be there and be truthful. So he waits to see who will be there once it is all over. Also about a girl he thinks about and how he wish he could stop thinking about.  He feels like he is becoming a part of her past one that she will forget and it is a losing battle/effortless. It is complex and might mean something else to another person but that is what I get from the song.
